James Geraghty
Founder & General Partner
James Geraghty is a Founder and General Partner of Equipo Ventures. He is an experienced investor and financial services professional who, prior to founding Equipo, worked for Robert W. Baird, Keefe Bruyette & Woods, J.P. Morgan, and Chapdelaine & Co.
He played professional ice hockey in Europe with Club Hielo Majadahonda of the Spanish Premier Ice Hockey League, earned a full athletic scholarship at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and played for Junior A hockey in Canada and the United States.
Mr. Geraghty earned a Master of Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Master of Public Administration from New York University.
Phillips Geraghty
Founder & General Partner
Phillips Geraghty is a Founder and General Partner of Equipo Ventures. He is an experienced investor and entrepreneur who sold De Novo Legal, a multi-million dollar startup company that he cofounded, to Epiq Systems in 2011.
Prior to founding De Novo Legal, Mr. Geraghty ran companies in staffing, construction, and real estate investing. He has been an active investor and advisor to companies for over 30 years.
Mr. Geraghty earned a Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University, a Juris Doctorate from Pace University, and attended the Masters in Economics program at New York University.
